About us
La Fleurieu has been in the family since 2004 when their father, Sean Walsh, bought the property – then a run-down, crumbling shell. But, he fell in love with the land surrounding the farmhouse, so set about restoring the building with a view to making this beautiful area of the Lot Valley, a family holiday home. In doing so, he gave employment to local tradespeople, many of whom became friends.
Sadly, Sean died in May 2015, before completing his project. The baton then passed to his three children, who together with Sam’s husband Andrew, have completed the work and turned the family home into a business.
Sam, who worked as a footwear designer for national companies in both Leicester and London, brings her eye for design and detail to the rooms lovingly prepared to receive guests.
Andrew, who worked in fire prevention and also served in The Royal Navy, has worked tirelessly in helping to finish the conversion, using his building, carpentry and joinery skills. A keen cyclist and runner, he helped to organise and run the cycle and running holidays.
And now, along with Sam’s sister & brother, they can’t wait for you to experience the beauty of this glorious corner of south-west France.
